If you are reading this article, you are probably afraid to read any further. In this “Year of Evangelism,” most of us are trying to do all we can to keep our heads low and not be noticed. It’s pretty common knowledge that everyone knows we should be evangelistic and share our faith—we are, after all, evangelicals—but it’s also pretty common knowledge that few of us do it.
We even avoid evangelism altogether and just try to be good Christians.
Yet the scriptures in Romans 10:14 are clear that spoken evangelism is essential to the growth of the church: “How can they believe in one they have not heard?”
I think one of our main issues is that we don’t quite know how to go about being evangelistic in a way that fits our personal style. Our personality is really the sum total of our personal styles of doing about a million things. So those of us who are not pastors, missionaries, or even salespeople think that we don’t have what it takes to share Christ. We say to ourselves, “I’m not like ______. She has what it takes to share her faith!”
I have good news for you. The Becoming a Contagious Christian seminar will help you understand and use your Biblical style be able to share Christ. There are 8 different Biblical models of sharing Christ with others, and you will find a style that matches your strengths. Furthermore, you will learn that we are each a part of a great chain that God uses to bring lost people to himself.
Lost people matter to God! He has chosen to use us to reach them. Come and find out how he can use your unique gifting and abilities for His purposes. The seminar will be held on Friday evening, May 14, from 7:00-9:30 p.m. and on Saturday, May 15, from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Childcare will be provided, and a lunch will be served.
